Listening to Echoes (video)

Review the “Instruments“ and the “Music and Feelings” charts. Review the photos of and artwork created during the Responding to Music activity. Ask children to recall all the music they heard today and to name their favorite, explaining why they like it so much.

Then watch the PEEP live-action video, Listening to Echoes. Before watching, explain that when Quack heard an echo in the video played this morning, he wasn’t sure what it was. Ask children what they think an echo is and tell them that in this video they’ll watch children explore echoes. After watching, ask children whether they think they might recognize an echo when they hear it. What kind of places do they think would be good for hearing an echo?
