Review today’s explorations and ideas about shadows.

Print Activity

Gather children next to the shadow theater. Have them compare their experience using a large shadow theater to using the mini shadow theater. Ask,

How is the large shadow theater similar to the mini shadow theater? How is it different?
What do you think you could do with the larger theater that you might not be able to do with the smaller one?

Display the photos you took of the animal puppets and of their shadows. Have children match the puppets and shadows. Use children’s descriptions of the photos to create short captions. Place the photos and their captions in the Shadow Museum learning center.
