Share the Day’s Discoveries

Review today’s explorations and ideas about plants.

Print Activity

Have volunteers share their Plant Journal pictures from the two experiments—both the pictures from last week of how the experiments were set up and the pictures from this week that show the results. Ask:

What did we learn from our experiment about seeds and sunlight?
What did we learn from our experiment with seeds and water?

Ask children about the plants they’re taking care of in the Indoor Garden learning center.

What do these plants need to stay healthy?
How have we been keeping them healthy?

Show children the photos you took of their outdoor collections. Ask them to explain why they chose items in their collections and how they decided to sort them.
