- Talk together about what children discovered today about trees.
- Ask them to share their bark rubbings and the pictures of trees they made in their Plant Journals.
- Draw a picture of a tree on chart paper, and have children name different parts of the tree that they noticed today (trunk, bark, roots, branches, leaves, and seeds).
- Gather around the Watch Them Grow center and have children compare their plants to trees. What do your little plants have in common with trees? What is different? Have children point out any changes they’ve noticed in their plants.
