Have children share the drawings of the experiment they set up earlier today. Ask:
- The children in this morning’s video did an experiment. So did we. How were the experiments similar? How were they different?
- What are we trying to learn from our experiment? What do you predict will happen to the seeds that aren’t getting light?
- How many days do you think we should wait before checking on our experiment? When do you think we’ll be able to tell whether plants need sunlight to grow?
Look at the “Our Plants” chart. Ask, What did we discover about our beans and grass seeds when we looked at them this morning? How are the grass plants different from the bean plants? Can you explain how the “Our Plants” chart helps us keep track of our growing plants?
